Metal Slug Ultimate Collection Physical Edition Confirmed

SNK has confirmed that a physical edition of Metal Slug Ultimate Collection is in development following feedback from fans after the collection’s announcement last week. SNK will share more details about the physical release later.

The developer also addressed the absence of Metal Slug XX from Metal Slug Ultimate Collection. The game was left out due to various circumstances, challenges, and limitations surrounding the project.

Still, they’re looking into ways to make Metal Slug XX available in some form in the future. Metal Slug XX is an expanded version of Metal Slug 7 that originally appeared on PlayStation Portable before receiving later releases on other platforms.

Metal Slug Ultimate Collectionwill be released for Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam in 2027.
