Hideo Kojima’s Physint Casts Pennywise Actor Bill Skarsgard In Lead Role

Bill Skarsgard, the actor most recognisable in his role as Pennywise in IT and Welcome to Derry, has been cast in the lead role for Hideo Kojima’s upcoming espionage title, Physint.

I‘m delighted to confirm the lead role for PHYSINT will be Bill Skarsgard. We are both long-time fans of each other’s work, and we’ve decided to embark on this new adventure together. The costume fittings, scans, and camera tests we conducted with Bill and Charlee earlier this year gave me tremendous confidence in the direction of the project.

The rest of the cast include Charles Fraser, Don Lee, and Minami Hamabe, with Kojima-san set to reveal more casting details later down the line.

Last week Kojima Productions revealed that it had partnered with Xbox to publish Physint, after original collaborator Sony decided to drop out of the project. At the time, Kojima stated that PlayStation planned to cancel the game, and the team had spent three months searching for a new partner. A report on Bloomberg later claimed that one of the main reasons for Sony dropping out of Physint was due to fears of the game’s budget and the fact it had missed numerous deadlines.

Physint has yet to attract a release date and has yet to confirm what platform(s) it will be released for.
