The fishing-themed release marks BetGames’ first foray into the genre, adding a tiered multiplier progression to its established Hold and Win mechanic.

High-volatility slots with multi-stage bonus structures have become a key battleground for suppliers competing on operator performance metrics. BetGames launched Reel Fin Fury on 27 October 2026, the studio’s first fishing-themed slot and the latest addition to its high-volatility portfolio.

Fishing theme debuts in BetGames’ 2026 slot roadmap

BetGames has launched Reel Fin Fury on 27 October 2026, entering the fishing genre for the first time with a high-volatility slot built around two interconnected bonus systems.

The release follows Gold Raid, Chili Cash, and Bad Rhinos in the supplier’s active 2026 content roadmap, which has consistently paired recognisable themes with high-volatility mechanics in response to operator demand.

Mechanics: Cash collect, tiered free spins, and Hold and Win

A cash collect mechanic runs across both the base game and bonus rounds. When a collector symbol lands, it gathers and pays out the combined value of all money symbols appearing on the same spin, a structure that creates consistent minor payouts between the two headline features.

The free spins round triggers when three, four, or five scatter symbols land, awarding 10, 15, or 20 spins respectively. Progression through the feature requires collecting four collect symbols per level, with each stage adding 10 further spins and applying an escalating multiplier, 2x at the first level, 5x at the second, and 10x at the third, applied to all money symbol values.

The Hold and Win feature activates when a combination of six collectors and money symbols lands in the base game. During the feature, collectors continue to accumulate cash prizes across three respins. Filling the entire grid before the respins expire awards the 10,000x maximum win.

Bonus buy and operator positioning

Four bonus buy options give players the ability to purchase direct entry into either the Hold and Win feature or the free spins round, with the latter offering a choice of between 10 and 20 spins. The mechanic provides session-length flexibility and an additional monetisation layer for operators.

Ian Catchick, Chief Product and Business Development Officer at BetGames, said:

‘Reel Fin Fury is about taking a high-performing theme and putting the BetGames twist on it. By combining the free spins progression-based round with our popular Hold and Win feature, we have struck a balance between bonus frequency and payout potential.’
